Netanyahu says Doha strike was retaliation for Jerusalem bus stop shooting, Oct. 7th, 2023 attacks.
On September 9th, 2025, Israeli forces launched a strike on Hamas in Qatar, killing five people including Hamas' top negatiator's son. The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that the attacks are in retaliation for the October 7th, 2023 Jerusalem bus stop attacks. This attack has brought condemnation on the Israeli forces from multiple countries, including Canada, the U.S.A, and Hamas.

Davis Cup tie between Canada and Israel in Halifax closed to fans.
The Davis Cup tennis matches in Halifax, Nova Scotia, between Canada and Israel has closed to fans. The people that bought tickets to the match are expected to recieve a full refund for the money they paid. Fans including the Olympic runner Moh Ahmed pressured Tennis Canada to close the match to spectators due to increasing safety concerns.
