 Possible contests to boost knowledge of English Literature

The CBC Non-Fiction Contest

The CBC Non-Fiction Contest is a Canadian contest that is held annually from January 1st to March 1st. Each year, the winner will recieve six-thousand dollars and four finalists will receive one-thousand dollars each. This contest is open to all students 19 years and above in BC. Any piece of non-published literature is acceptable up to a 2000 word limit. There is a twenty-five dollar entry fee including tax, and contestants can enter as many times as they want, costing twenty-five dollars each time. 

The CBC Poetry Prize

The CBC Poetry Prize is a Canadian contest held annually between April 1st to June 1st. The winner of this contest recieves six-thousand dollars, while the four runner-ups will all be gifted one-thousand dollars. For BC, students 19 years and older can enter into this contest. Each submission of unpublished one long poem or a collection of poems with a maximum of six-hundred words. Every contestant can enter multiple times, each time costing twenty-five dollars with tax.

CBC Short Story Prize

The CBC Short Story Contest

The CBC Short Story Contest is a Canadian contest that is held every year from September 1st to November 1st. The winner of this contest will be awarded six-thousand dollars and the four finalists will each be awarded one-thousand dollars. This contest is open to everyone older than 19 years old (19 year olds included) in BC. In this contest, submissions must be a short story with a maximum of 2500 words, with each contestant being able to submit multiple entries at a 25 dollar fee.
